You can exchange letters and photos, and even visit your sponsored child, but we don’t just give sponsored children cash every month. Instead, we pool monthly sponsorship donations and leverage them for maximum impact and pay school fees for a group of children.
How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
The cost to sponsor a child in pre-school with TSF is $100 per month. We stretch your dollar as far as possible to help lift both your child and their entire community out of poverty. In fact, for every child sponsored, three others in the community are helped!
What is the best child sponsor organization?
The Tanzania School Foundation supports a small rural community in Tanzania by sending children to School. We also sponsor older children whom we have had a long ongoing relationship with who cannot afford a quality education.
How long is my child sponsorship commitment?
While you can cancel at any time, you may continue sponsoring a child for as long as your child remains in the program. We have a strict policy on who can receive your scholarship. Please understand when you cancel your monthly donation, it has an impact on the number of students we can support.
The cost of educating a child:
Primary and Secondary education costs:The cost to sponsor a primary school child is $100 per month for one academic year.The cost to sponsor a secondary school child is $120 per month.This is the cost of education only.
- The cost to feed a child is $30 per month ($1.50 per day)
- Uniforms cost $100 per year
- Pencils, backpacks, shoes etc: $100 per year
