Happy Holidays and Best wishes for 2016

2015 in review

All of us at the Tanzania School Foundation and School of St. Nicholas thank you for letting us into your life. Your support is very much appreciated. We send our heartfelt holiday wishes to you, our supporters in over 15 countries!

During this celebratory time of year, I want to thank you for making 2015 special.

  • We provided a free quality education to some of the poorest children in our region.
  • 34 students completed their school year with us.
  • We purchased a new 3 acre plot and began building additional classrooms.
  • We had 16 volunteers visit us in Tanzania from 5 countries.
  • We supplied over 300 meals to our students.
  • We sold over 5,000 Christmas Ornaments in Tanzania to support our students and staff.
  • Over 300 volunteers donated their time in the USA offering over 3,500 hours of service.
  • Over 800 pounds of shoes, books, school supplies, clothes and more were donated to our students.

I  am reminded of the African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child”.  We are part of that village helping raise our students, giving them a gift of an education and a chance to end the poverty they were born into.

We are finishing the construction of 2 classrooms in the next month. Please help us reach our $10,000 goal by the end of the year by donating today.  All donations in the USA are tax deductible.

2016 is looking to be a another year of growth.

  • 48 students are enrolled for the upcoming school year.
  • Groups of students from 4 countries signed up to volunteer with us in Tanzania.
  • We are finishing the construction on two classrooms and will begin construction on additional classrooms and a lunch pavilion.
  • Welcoming our first long-term volunteer in Tanzania who will join our administrative team next month!

As you plan your vacation time for 2016, please make the School of St. Nicholas your destination. (We can arrange your Kilimanjaro climb or African safari!)
